Project Overview
The West Angelas mine is part of the Robe River JV. Production at West Angelas commenced in 2002, primarily from Deposit A. The Site is producing lump and fines for the Pilbara Blend products at a nominal rate of 35Mtpa saleable ore product.
The Site is located within the Eastern Pilbara region of WA, approximately 110km west-northwest of Newman.
Project Scope of Works
Construction consists of:
SP1 – Access Track Upgrade: construct and upgrade new and existing LV access tracks, road and traffic management signage and windrows, aerial marker posts for power line crossings, culvert installation and erosion protection works
SP2 – RBS Tower Track and Pad: construct new LV access tracks for LV Comms Tower Access Track, capping to Radio Base Station tower pad and road and traffic management signage
SP3 – Road Maintenance and Dust Control: ongoing road maintenance and dust control during construction and other minor
Installation of drainage culverts inlet and outlet structures
Construction of concrete foundation systems footings, slabs and concrete retaining structures
