In 1982, Founder and Managing Director Joe Dujmovic began a small concreting company with a team of just four employees.
In 1991 DTMT completed the Concrete and Building Works for the new gold plant at Peak Gold Mine in NSW. We also carried out civil works for both the Grinding Circuit Expansion in NSW and the Brockman No 2 Project for Hamersley Iron at Tom Price.
We were awarded the concrete and building works for a new processing plant at the Residue Disposal Project, Gove NT. DTMT also completed an Underground Crusher and Pumping Station at Golden Grove. Further to this DTMT was awarded civil works at MT Keith.
At the MT Todd Project Phase 1 Expansion Project in the NT, we completed the concrete foundation works. We also carried out the concrete and building works at the Kanowna Bell Project.
DTMT was awarded major civil works at the Hamersley Iron Project in Paraburdoo and the Ammonium Niltrate Civil Works at Kwinana.
We constructed the Metropolis City Nightclub in Perth. We also carried out work at the Gwalia Consolidated Lithium Project and the BHP Refinery in Kwinana.
DTMT completed the closure of mine openings at the Wittenoom Project and carried out concrete works at the Red Hill Quarry in Midland.
DTMT completed multiple contracts at the HBI Clarifiers Project in Port Hedland. This was our first project with BHP and the commencement of a long and rewarding relationship.
We completed Stage 2 of the concrete works for the Cawse Nickel Mine, the project consisted of over 5400 cu m of concrete.
DTMT was awarded various contracts at Telfer, Tiwest Kwinana, Repulp Mill, Lawlers Mine, Harmony Mine, Nickel Cobalt Plant at Murrin Murri, MT Rawdon QLD and Cockatoo Island
DTMT was awarded the concrete foundation works relating to the Shiploading and Stockyard at the Cape Lambert Upgrade for Robe River. DTMT also completed Primary Crusher, Screening and Conveyor related civil works at the Mesa J Plant and also at the Kirkalocka Gold Project.
DTMT completed civil works at the Thunderbox Gold Project, we also performed concrete works for the substation buildings for Woodside Energy at the NWS KJV Enclosures. DTMT also celebrated 20 years of business.
DTMT were awarded its largest ever contract for Newcrest Mining. Our scope involved Concrete works for new gold treatment plant at Telfer.
We performed concrete works for tanks, area paving and HDPE containments for Worsley Alumina in Collie in WA. DTMT also commenced work at the Rio Tinto’s Dampier Port Upgrade Project Car Dumper 3, this included a new Screen house and stockyard extension stacker/reclaimer works, concrete works, rail work, new and modification of existing conveyors and transfer stations.
DTMT carried out 2 major contracts for BHPB. The construction of Concrete Train Loadout Tunnel, fabrication and installation of chutes, tunnel backfill/stockpile base, conveyors, primary crusher at Orebody 18. We also performed the concrete foundations and steel structures on conveyors leading into new car dumper for RGP2.
DTMT commenced the Concrete works for Rio Tinto’s Car Dumper 4 at the Dampier Port Upgrade Project, including new Screen House, new and modification of existing conveyors and transfer stations. We also awarded extensive civil works for RGP3 Port Hedland.
DTMT Construction celebrated 25 years in business.
DTMT was awarded major contracts on the Newman Hub Project, FMG’s Cloud Break Project and Rio Tinto’s Brockman 4 project. The scope of these projects included civil works for Car Dumpers, Train Loadout’s and Primary and secondary crushers.
DTMT completed work at the Boddington Gold mine for BGM. The work involved constructing the Primary Crusher, along with the installation of the tunnel structure and the concrete foundations for the Overland Conveyor System.
We performed the major concrete and earthworks for the Ball Mills at the Sino Iron Project. This involved more than 42,000 cu m concrete and more than 350 employees.
DTMT was awarded further major contracts on the Sino Iron Project including the Tailings Thickener, Process Water and Pump Station and Barge Loader Conveyor and Rail Foundations. We also
completed the Haul Road Underpass at Ore Body 29 for BHPB.
We were awarded multiple packages at the Port Hedland Inner Harbour Project. This included the concrete and detailed earthworks for Car Dumper 5 and the SP1 & SP2 General Civil Works. Further to this we were awarded the civil works for Car Dumper 5 and the Stockyard at Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert Port B (50mtpa+50mtpa) project.
DTMT Construction celebrated 30 years in business.
DTMT was awarded its largest ever contract, Car Dumper 6/7 and the Stockyard at the Cape Lambert Port B (353mtpa) Project for Rio Tinto. The project involves more than 67,000 cu m concrete. Further to this we also commenced concrete works for the Train Loadout at Ore Body 24.
After completing the supply and installation of the concrete foundations, slabs, pedestals, basins and bund walls for the Yarnima Power Station, we were also awarded the NGI works. This included the Raw & Treated Water System, Water Treatment Plant Building, Fire Services, and Process Waste Water System.
DTMT was awarded major civil works at FMG’s Northstar Project, Rio Tinto’s West Angelas Deposit B Project and the Mesa J Sizing Plant. Further to this DTMT completed the NPI Facilities Earthworks at the Cape Lambert B Port B (50MTPA+50MTPA) Project as part of a joint venture with 100% Aboriginal owned, Hicks Civil Mining.
After complete upgrading existing bund wall, floor and other miscellaneous civil works in Parker Point Fuel Terminal North Bund and constructed NPI Raw and Fire Water Project for Rio Tinto’s
projects, we were awarded multiple civil works contracts such as Kwinana Filtration Facility Project and Nova Nickel Project. Further to this we commenced concrete foundations and underground services works for Cape Lambert Power Station Project.
DTMT upgraded and replaced the existing dry mess facilities and accommodation village at Packsaddle Area C for BHPB project. Another joint venture with 100% Aboriginal owned, Hicks Civil Mining to complete miscellaneous earthworks and drainage for Rio Tinto’s West Angelas Deposit F Project.
At the Silver Grass East Project, we completed bulk earthworks and civils for the primary crushing, OLC and 33kV distribution project. We also carried out the deconstruction/demolition and rehabilitation of the NPI Camp Closure Projects (Turner River, Cowra, Jinidi and Marillana) for BHP. DTMT was awarded the civil works at MT Morgans Gold Project for Dacian Gold/GR Engineering.
We were awarded various contracts at BHP; Mining Area C – road upgrades to OHP 1 & OHP 2, Biopile Remediation for WB24 & WB25 Rail Loop Pond, design and construct Processing Production Dome Shelter, OB18 – OB31 Access Road for Jimblebar Project, OB25 Road Sealing and installation of transportation office building including services and commissioning for South Flank Construction Office.
We also performed misc. earthworks and roadworks for FMG – Pilbara Marine Towage Project and misc. service contract for Pilbara Mineral – Pilgangoora Concentrate Storage Slab Project. DTMT continued awarded of BHPB projects; misc. works to Mulla Mulla Village Expansion, South Flank Mics. Works included civil works and buried services and detailed earthworks, concrete and underground services for Kwinana Nickel Sulphate Plant.
DTMT in completion with various contracts – civil works at the Kemerton Lithium – Pyromet Project, this involved more than 30,000 cu m concrete. Bulk earthworks and drainage for mine plant access road for Gudai-Darri (Koodaideri) Project as part of a joint venture with Aboriginal owned, Lorrex Contracting and ROM wall remediation works at Brockman 2.
In 2021, DTMT completed the PC/SC facilities, COS, TLO, stockyards and underground services for the process plant at the Gudai-Darri (Koodaideri) for Rio Tinto. This project involved more than 28,000 cu m concrete. Further to this we also commenced design and construct of East facility, West watertank and standpipe, ANFO storage facility general and ANFO magazine storage facility for the In-Pit Support Facilities at Gudai-Darri (Koodaideri). In September of 2021, DTMT started on the Thunderbox Gold Mine expansion for GR Engineering.
DTMT is continuing to complete works on the Thunderbox Gold Mine expansion for GR Engineering, as well as other works on the same site for Northern Star Resources. We have also continued works on the Rio Tinto Gudai-Darri site under Orica with works including civil works and concrete.
