To allow the transportation of Gudai-Darri iron ore product to either Dampier or Cape Lambert, the Project requires a 170km rail spur to connect the Gudai-Darri mine to the existing RTIO rail network, just south of Numbat Siding
The Gudai-Darri mine site is approximately 40km from GNH intersection on the Munjina – Roy Hill Road which passes within 1km of the Gudai-Darri mine site. The route is fully sealed from Port Hedland to the intersection at the mine site.
Project Scope of Works
Construction consists of:
Construction of all roadworks, including floodway
Construction of all services sleeves, conduits and culverts within roadworks formations
Tie-ins for existing roads, diversion of existing roads around the works
Construction access roads and interface with other contractors
Providing traffic control when necessary
Supply and installation of roadside furniture
Maintenance of all new and existing access roads and track
