Gudai-Darri Project – Mine Plant Access Roads

Project Overview

  • In partnership with Lorrex Contracting Pty Ltd, a local Indigenous company owned by Lorraine and Rex Parker.
  • To allow the transportation of Gudai-Darri iron ore product to either Dampier or Cape Lambert, the Project requires a 170km rail spur to connect the Gudai-Darri mine to the existing RTIO rail network, just south of Numbat Siding
  • The Gudai-Darri mine site is approximately 40km from GNH intersection on the Munjina – Roy Hill Road which passes within 1km of the Gudai-Darri mine site. The route is fully sealed from Port Hedland to the intersection at the mine site.

Project Scope of Works

Construction consists of:

  • Construction of all roadworks, including floodway
  • Construction of all services sleeves, conduits and culverts within roadworks formations
  • Tie-ins for existing roads, diversion of existing roads around the works
  • Construction access roads and interface with other contractors
  • Providing traffic control when necessary
  • Supply and installation of roadside furniture
  • Maintenance of all new and existing access roads and track
