Project Overview
The Power System Upgrade 330 Project B (PSU330 B) comprises installation of power generation and transmission system equipment across the Pilbara region of Western Australia, to support expansion of its iron ore mining operations from 230Mtpa to 360Mtpa. This includes the construction of the CLPS.
Cape Lambert Power Station is located at Cape Lambert, near the port facility and adjacent to the CLBSS. It is approximately 40 km north east of Karratha, and approximately 1,600km north of Perth by road in the West Pilbara region of the North Western Australia. The town of Wickham is within 10km of the Cape Lambert Facility. There is a daily jet air service linking Perth and Karratha.
