Newman Hub

Location: Newman, Western Australia
Project Completion: On- going
Client: BHP Billiton
Superintendent: Mine & Port Developments Joint Venture

Description:  With several major growth projects at BHP's Mt Whaleback Newman Mine, DTMT is involved with the concrete construction of the new Train Loadout and Car Dumper facilities within the Newman Hub Joint Venture.   Conveyor footings and train loadout tunnels are also apart of our construction scope.  As Mt Whaleback is the largest single iron ore pit in the world, BHP & DTMT's relationship extends to many other projects throughout the Pilbara region with the NJV Hub being the largest construction project to-date.  Employing around 150 workers, DTMT foresee completion in November 2008 using equipment ranging from tipper trucks, excavators and our newly acquired 150 tonne Crane.

 
   
   
   

 

   

 

 Brockman 4 Project 

Location: 60kms NW of Tom Price, Western Australia
Project Completion: On- going
Client: Hamersley Iron
Superintendent: Calibre Projects

Description:  DTMT's scope of work involves construction of a Train Loadout Facility, Primary and Secondary Crushers, ROM Pad, Lump Sample Stations, Conveyors and Take Ups which began late October 2008.  As an expansion to Brockman 2, Brockman 4 has a mining life of 28 years as an open pit mine, extracting high grade iron ore for overseas markets.
